【Jonathon Hricko】How do we know whether science is true?

On December 8, 2021, Jonathon gave a talk to students at Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School. The topic was whether we have good reasons for thinking that the claims that scientists make about unobservables (e.g., electrons and spacetime) are true, which is one of the central questions of the scientific realism debate in the philosophy of science. The talk was organized by the Center for the Advancement of Science Education (CASE) at National Taiwan University as part of their science outreach program.
